We have enjoyed every minute of every day here. We love everything about Bidwell Farm. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The Cow Byre has everything provided to create the perfect holiday. The Church in Upottery was open so beautiful inside. We managed walks 2, 3 and 4 in the Upottery leaflet. Hope to do the last walk when we return.
| The Chapman Family | 4 April 08 Fleet, Hampshire. | Another wonderful stay. Sincere thanks to Patsy and Richard yet again. You even managed to sort out the weather. Richard's home made jam and bread were delicious. | |

A wonderful time as always! Duck/chicken eggs a real treat as well as the homemade bread. Thanks for letting the 2 boys have access to your Wi-Fi in your conservatory! We travelled further afield into Cornwall and visited Tintagel and Boscastle, both highly wonderful places and only 1 hr. 15 miinutes away. Thanks again.
| The extended Hale Family | 20th March 2008 Westbury & Wootton Bassett, Wilts. |
Despite the somewhat unfriendly elements at times, we've enjoyed yet another wonderful time in both cottages. We were sad that the usual resident ducks had left unexpectedly but the newcomers are very friendly. A word of warning to those eating at the Sidmouth Arms. The LARGE plates certainly live up to their name. Thank you Patsy and Richard once again. I am sure we will be back to notch up our almost tenth visit soon.
| Ron & Jackie Carter | Kidderminster and North Luffenham 15-22 Feb 2008 |
We've all had an enjoyable week in the Cow Byre. The weather hwas perfect - frosty and clear blue skies. Rain on Friday so we didn't mind leaving so much. Didn't need the logs, but could have done with the TV a little lower down the wall. |
|
| Michael & Margaret Stocks, Cumbia | 30 Jan 2008 | Thank you so much for your warm welcome. We have enjoyed staying in the Cow Byre and have never slept so well for several years. You have been most generous towards us. We now look forward to our forthcoming visit in March. | |

Our 5th holiday at Bidwell and another wonderful week. The sun has shone for us every day and we have enjoyed days out at Lyme Regis, Beer and Crealy. Also had relaxing walks around the village and surrounding areas. The Sidmouth Arms is still excellent for a meal out. (We're all on salads next week!) Loved our morning bird spotting sessions from the lounge window, Even the boys were excited to see the woodpecters and nuthatches!! Thanks Richard and Patsy for your friendly hospitality. We always feel so at home here. Don't worry Richard, we're going........but we will be back!! I'd just like to say that contrary to what Richard says, there are in fact only 3 fish in that pond and they all work shifts!! |

Despite very unkind weather we were blessed on that day and have loved being here. Spent our last day in Beer - a delightful place - where else can one still enjoy tea on the beach with a rose-patterned china tea set?

Cowbyre Cottage |
Comments:Due to a wedding in Chard on 23rd of September, we searched the visit britain site for a suitable place to stay for a week. Bidwell farm caught our attention and we decided to try and book it for a week. The newly built Cowbyre was available and we booked it for ourselves and our two children and thier respective partners. We were completely taken with the attractive buildings and the beautiful surroundings. Henri made friends with the ducks within an hour! Gerard and Marco, being in England for the first time, were very taken with the rural setting and the friendliness of Patsy and Richard. Joanne, Jennifer and myself were so pleased to be back in England and were also made to feel at home. Unfortunately we did not spend as much relaxing family time together at the farm itself as we would have liked to, but will really try to return sometime in the future, to enjoy the beautiful farm and its surroundings to the full extent. The duck eggs were lovely Richard, thankyou. So to Richard and Patsy, thankyou for sharing your beautiful home with us and hopefully we shall see you again in the future. All the very best to you both.

| John & Ann Kleba, Michael & Jenny Bravery, Tony & Janet Chick, Sittingbourne, Kent | 24 April | Other than the rain which nobody can control we had a very comfortable stay. Mr & Mrs Wells are very friendly and made us feel at home (well she does originate from our part of the world, Chatham). I did let the ducks out on the first morning and the two eggs were tasty. Second morning they were out already, so "who let the ducks out"? Very comfortable stay and will come back soon. Many thanks. |
|
| Paul | 30 April 2005 | Thank you so much Richard and Pat for your wonderful hospitality. We loved the duck eggs - what a treat. The Haybarton is superb and met all our needs. We have really enjoyed our stay and hope to find suitable availability gap sometime soon. |

Wecan only add three more words to the multitude already expressed about Bidwell Farm and they are "Heaven on Earth". We will be back next year, all being well. With our best wishes to you both. George and Beatie. PS Good Luck with "The Cow Byre and Buttercup, Daisy and Bluebell!!" |

| Sandra & Mick Palmer, Tim, Rosina & Kelly and Brian Odam, Hampshire, Nottingham & Derbyshire | 26th March | For our holida we came to Devon Patsy and Richard's place was heaven The hospitality was superb and friendly As country lads we became trendy. The ladies cooked and we washed dishes Then Richard asked who amongst you fishes Well at least that was the plan That's when the pantomine began. Casting the fly was a fiasco For fish we should have gone to Tesco I thought we would be better walking or in the Sidmouth Arms just talking. Coast and countryside peacefully blend As homeward bound we start to wend We have had a lovely stay and recommend it everyway. |
