Bidwell Farm Cottages have been award the Visit England 5 star GOLD AWARD for both cottages for 2010.
Wi-Fi Connection
We have at long last managed to have the Wi-Fi connection in the main farmhouse. This means anyone staying in the house, using their own laptop, with wireless enablement, will have full access to Internet facilities. Guests staying in the Haybarton can access Wi-Fi in their kitchen but guests in the Cow Byre cottage are out of range of the router but are most welcome to come up to the farmhouse conservatory (or the picnic table close by on a fine day) and take advantage of our Wi-Fi connection.

We were surprised and delighted to learn that, following our entry into South West Tourism's Excellence Awards 2009, under the heading of "Self Catering Holiday of the Year", we had made it through the hundreds of entries to the final four.
Special Events and Group Bookings.
If you have a special event to celebrate - we will help in any way we can. The Haybarton will now sit 10/12 and we have extra cutlery and crockery for these occasions. We will also be happy to supply a GIFT TOKEN if you would like to surprise loved ones with a break away. We regularly have parties celebrating special birthdays and anniversaries.
Green Tourism
We at Bidwell Farm are doing all that we can to engage in, and to promote, environmentally friendly practices. We try to help guests who want to participate in this commitment without pressure or fanaticism.
New facilities at Bidwell for the young at heart
We have decided to open up the field beyond the garden and create an area for football, cricket, croquet, badminton and boules. This will be available to all guests and is planned as a 2009 feature.
During 2008 we built a large brick barbecue for the use of our guests and provided extra picnic tables that are dotted around our orchard but can be moved to suit your needs.

Our guests' comments from the Visitors' Book are added to our website for all to read. We add ALL comments and thankfully our guests seem to love staying here. We have been asked by an independent company to request guests to add comments to their site below. This is a new venture for us and, if anyone who has stayed here would like to add a comment, then please do so.

Bidwell Farm Cottages has been with Premier Cottages http://www.premiercottages.co.uk for the last three years.
Pond news
Great news for fishermen. Our lovely 3/4 acre pond has been fully dredged and deepened for the first time in eight years and is now gloriously weed free although looking a bit barren at present. During March 07 the pond was restocked with one hundred 8 inch trout which are now rising well and jumping on the hooks! The pond was again restocked with 50 fish in March 08.
